DEAR  STUDENTS-TO-BE

      It is a big pleasure to welcome you, dear students, on this site where are we presenting, for the first time, things that Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Mostar can offer to all who are thinking about studies at our Faculty.

      After war cataclysm, which never happened in the long history of this town, Faculty of Civil Engineering in spite of incredible difficulties managed to hold on its continuity. It's not only about holding university tradition; already in 1993 educational plan and program was changed and adapted to studies on modern middle European Universities.

      With help of Croatian Universities, especially from Split and Zagreb, our Faculty managed to hold on volume and quality of the educational program in this difficult conditions.

      Existing of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, within modern University of Mostar, on Croatian language is unquestionable fact and one of prerequisite for Croatian people-one of constitutive and equal nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who had to leave his homes in past centuries -to stay as part of European civilization.

      During academic 1999/2000 year we developed a modern cabinet for engineering modeling in building which is equipped with modern machines and software and connected to internet. We also enriched Faculty library and we are planning further investment in this two extremely important institutions for the quality of education and permanent expert growing of students and teachers.

      Thanks to cooperation with Croatian and some European Universities and Faculties our students already have opportunity to go in summer schools to some foreign Faculties which is transfer of the west University practice.

     We can say with proud that teachers, associates  and all employees of the Faculty are considering creative conducting of the educational plan and program, work with students, development of the relationships on basics of cultural and religion foundations, mutual respect, intellectual width and tolerance as their biggest commitment.

      Wishing you honest welcome we are also exposing our hope that you will spend your student days at Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Mostar in peace and with plenty of happiness and success in your studies.
