GERMANY 26th October 2003 - 2nd November 2003
From 26th October till 2nd
November 2003 seven students at our Faculty and assistant
Renata Cvitkoviæ, together
with group of professors, assistants and students at
FMGBE (Faculty of Mining-Geological
Building Engineering) from Tuzl and Technological Faculty from Banja Luka
participated in Scientific-expert excursion in Germany in frame of the DAAD
project. The host was
University in Kaiserslautern. Ph. D. Meißner was our host in the name of
the University.
We visited and met with all drives of Kaiserslautern city landfill,
system of purification of waste waters, system of water supplying...
Within the University of Kaiserslautern there are modern equipped
laboratories for material testing, steel and concrete construction
elements (one of the best equipped laboratories in Germany), then
laboratory for soil mechanic and funding and other which were
represented by our hosts.
In the city Karlsruhe we visited construction site "Ettlinger Tor".
That is big mercantile center which is being built in the centre of
the old town. in order to represent the size, not only physical, of
that future object i will only say that the total investition is 200.000.000
Euros!
Beside the expert content excursion had rich cultural part. Normally
we met architectonic and historical structure of cities Kaiserslautern
and Karlsruhe. Especially we had whole-day excursion in the city Heidelberg.
Greattourist guide walked us through rich past and presence of that
trully romantic European city. On the last day of our excursion we
sailed on the Rhein from the small town St. Goar on the coast of
that river till Boppard.
One of the interesting, unexpected events which brought joy to us
was vine degustation in Hambach near Neustadt. We should also
mention that we had reception at the mayor of Kaiserslautern, which
is not insignificant event.
And of course, the most important second thing in the wolrd-football.
We could not be there without visiting of football stadium of FCK
Kaiserslautern "Fritz Walter", which will be able, after
reconstruction, to recieve 48.500 viewers on the five games of World
football cup in Germany 2006.
On the way back we wenr to Frankfurt just for tourist survey of that
city.
In the end we can only thank the people whooganized this great
program, apsolutely every minute was used. We had plenty to see and
to learn.
